    Rachel is our home manager here at Pottersway House. She has over 20 years of experience managing care homes and a background as a qualified nurse, and is passionate about making our home a place where residents feel truly cared for, valued and at ease. Building strong relationships with residents, families and staff is at the heart of her approach to ensure that everyone feels part of a supportive and welcoming community. She believes that luxury care is about much more than the setting, it’s about offering dignity and a personal touch every single day.

    Sally is the newly appointed Clinical deputy manager at Pottersway House and brings with her a substantial amount of nursing experience in a variety of clinical settings; predominantly the NHS. Sally qualified as a registered nurse in 1997 and her professional journey to date has encompassed many senior positions including a nurse practitioner/site manager in an acute local trust, and an NHS ward manager on an acute renal ward leading a team of 60 staff. Sally encompasses and encourages the values we promote and always leads with kindness and compassion. On a more personal level, Sally loves good coffee, cats, and time spent with family and friends. She is also a keen walker and loves nothing more than climbing a hill or mountain on her days off.

    Dawn Byrne is the Business Administrator at Pottersway House Care Home, bringing over 20 years of experience in the social care sector.  She began her career in the travel industry, holding senior management roles before transitioning into care. Throughout her career in this sector, Dawn has gained valuable experience in a variety of roles, including Activities Co-ordinator, Social Care Manager, Recreation Manager and Front of House Manager. Dawn is passionate about supporting residents in leading fulfilling and happy lives at Pottersway House Care Home.

    Andrew has over 25 years of experience in catering. 10 of which were in the care industry. He has worked in AA rosette standard restaurants and prides himself on bringing the fine dining element to the care home. He is passionate about creating the highest quality and standards for the residents whether they choose to dine in their room or our restaurant.

    Andrew will offer residents a great mixture of menu choices from traditional British classics to world foods with unique flavours to tantalise the taste buds and will ensure there is always a plentiful supply of freshly baked biscuits and cakes for our residents to enjoy.

    Michelle Butler began my career in the care sector at the age of 16 as a weekend carer, inspired by my mum’s career in healthcare. After completing my GCSEs, I worked full-time, progressing to senior healthcare roles. I later worked as a personal assistant for a patient with a spinal injury and then in domiciliary care. While working full-time as a support worker with individuals with autism and complex needs, I decided to pursue nursing. I reduced to part-time to complete a three-year nursing degree. Overall, I have 21 years of experience in healthcare, including 6 years as a qualified registered adult nurse.

    Jonathan has been qualified as a Mental Health Nurse for 15 years and gained many clinical skills. He specialises in elderly and dementia nursing care and his belief is if we focus less on our own needs and more on our abilities, we can be proud of what we achieve. He is looking forward to providing exceptional care to our residents around the clock.

    Chanelle Fawcett is a Senior Care Assistant with three years of experience in the care sector and a strong educational background in Health and Social Care. I hold NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications and aim to continue developing my skills towards NVQ Level 5. I take pride in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment while delivering outstanding, person-centred care.

    Michaela Rigby has been in the care industry for 20 years. She started in the sector as a kitchen assistant and care assistant and progressed to senior care and unit manager. She has gained qualifications such as her NVQ Level 3 and qualifications in end-of-life and dementia care. Michaela ensures that the residents in our care will have a fulfilled and meaningful life.

Starting her journey as a receptionist, she naturally progressed into her current role through her dedication and passion for resident wellbeing. Lucy is committed to creating engaging, joyful experiences that bring laughter and connection to daily life, while continuously developing new skills to enhance the care she provides.

  • Dianne Phillips

    Dianne has been working in the care sector since 1998. First, she was a Care assistant for 12 years and gained her NVQ 2 and NVQ 3 before going on to become a head housekeeper and has an award in infection control following a 2-week course. She has now been a head housekeeper for 15 years in different care homes and is excited to ensure Pottersway House is a tidy and safe environment where our residents can thrive.

    Andrew is a qualified electrician with experience in maintaining buildings in the hospitality sector and is always on hand to help support staff and residents to make their days go smoothly.  With a smile on his face, no job is too big or too small and Andrew will always be seen around the home making sure everything is of the highest quality.  Andrew likes to discover new things and is always looking for a good conversation about others and their experiences and is looking forward to spending time with the residents in their new home.
