Our Spring Open Day Was a Success!
On Saturday 13th April, we warmly welcomed friends, families, and members of the local community to our Spring Open Day. With the home now fully open and operational, the event offered a chance for visitors to step inside, meet the team, and see firsthand the homely surroundings and thoughtful care that Pottersway House has to offer.
It was a day filled with conversation, connection and community spirit. Staff took great pride in showing guests around, chatting about daily life at Pottersway, and answering questions from those considering future care options – whether for themselves or a loved one. The open day offered reassurance and a personal touch, helping visitors truly get a feel for the home’s welcoming atmosphere. They also had the opportunity to meet our first-ever resident, who moved in just 5 days prior!
A highlight of the day was the delightful buffet prepared by our talented Head Chef, Andy. His delicious spread was enjoyed by all and brought people together over a shared love of good food and friendly company. From savoury bites to sweet treats, Andy’s food was as much a talking point as the beautiful setting of the home.
To stay on the Easter Theme, we ran an Easter Egg tombola and charity raffle that brought plenty of smiles and raised a fantastic £300 for Make-A-Wish. The generosity shown by all who contributed was deeply appreciated, and it was lovely to see the community come together to support such a meaningful cause.
